Make sure your hair is slightly damp and combed out smooth (it slides through the curlers much easier). Most people just put the curlers in with wet hair (water only) but some like to put on a mousse, gel, curl enhancer, or other hair product for a longer lasting curl but just plain water works great too. Connect the hook provided. Some people like gluing it together just to assure that it doesn’t come apart but whichever way works fine. Squeeze the end of the curler to create an opening and push the hook throughout the entire length of the curler. Take a section of hair (about ¾ to ½ inch wide) and twist it slightly. Insert the hair into the hook with the hook facing upward so that the hair stays securely in the hook. If any hair falls out of the hook, it will ged tangled in side the curler. Then, pull the hook gently through the curler and continue until all the hair is set in curlers. Then, either let air dry, sleep overnight with the curlers, or blow dry the hair with a hair cap (sold separately). To remove the curlers, straighten them out by holding the top of the curler with one hand and sliding your index finger of the hand from the top of the curler to the bottom. Gently pull them off and you’re ready to go!

Useful information on the curlers:
*One color goes clockwise and the other color goes counter clockwise, depending on which way you want your curls to go.
**If you start at the back and work your way to the front then the curlers won't get in your way. This makes it much easier when putting your own curlers in.
**The curlers can be hand-washed and dried safely.
**Can be used in place of perm rods.
**Much healthier on your hair as you don’t need to use heat in order to curl your hair.
